Library Advisory Board <br />February 20, 2002 <br />Page 2 <br />held once a month. She is still working on bringing an author to Paris. <br />Ideas for this were also discussed. <br />Friends of the Library President, Callie Thompson, reported that the <br />Friends would provide lunch for the Children's Librarians Resource <br />Sharing Group meeting at the Paris Public Library on March 8. The <br />Spring Luncheon will be held on May 6, 2002, at the Paris Golf and <br />Country Club. It will feature Jimmie Kennedy, who will review the book, <br />Jackie, Ethel, and Joan: Women of Camelot. <br />Betty Landon, Director, stated that John Howison attended the NETLS <br />quarterly system meeting in Mount Pleasant on February 5; the meeting <br />honored lay people involved in libraries. Betty will file the annual report <br />to the State Library online this year. In March, Betty and Priscilla will <br />attend the Public Library Association Conference in Phoenix. An <br />American Girl Party will be held at the Wise House on March 21 from <br />4:00 -5:30 pm. The Library will participate in the Kid Safe Saturday on <br />March 23. The Library will be closed on Good Friday, March 29. <br />The meeting adjourned at 4:45 p.m. The next meeting will be held on <br />March 20th at 4:00 p.m. in the Gallery. <br />Anna Davis <br />Date Approved <br />
