Library Advisory Board <br />December 8, 2004 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE LIBRARY <br />ADVISORY BOARD <br />December 8, 2004 <br />The Paris Public Library Advisory Board met in regular session <br />Wednesday, December 8m 2004, at 4:OOPM in the Library with Chairman <br />Nancee Salzman presiding. The following Board members were present: <br />Jackie Alsobrook, Sarah Gambill, Anna Davis, Bill Kennedy, Nancee <br />Salzman, Deborah Hatley, Jake Street and Carl Lucas. Also attending <br />were Priscilla McAnally, Assistant Library Director and Tony Williams, <br />City Manager. Absent were Walter Williams and Callie Thompson, <br />Friends President. <br />The minutes from the September meeting were approved. No October or <br />November meetings were presented due to lack of membership quorum. <br />Tony Williams the new City Manager was introduced to the Board <br />members. <br />Discussion about an upgrade to the current automation system was held <br />along with which trust fund accounts might used to fund it. Ms. McAnally <br />will have information on costs for the Board at the January meeting. <br />Betty presented board members end of the fiscal year budget. A request <br />for Gene Anderson, Finance Director for the City of Paris, to be present at <br />the January meeting to talk about the trust funds; how they are invested <br />and how they may be used. <br />The budget report was favorable. <br />November circulation statistics were down 4,629 from last November, as <br />were library visits. <br />
