NIlNUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE LIBRARY <br />ADVISORY BOARD <br />December 14, 2005 <br />The Paris Public Library Advisory Board met in regular session Wednesday, December <br />14, 2005, at 4:00 PM at the home of Chairman Bill Kennedy. The following Board <br />members were present: Jackie Alsobrook, Debbie Anderson, Sarah Gambill, Deborah <br />Hatley, Bill Kennedy, Audrey Lakes, Fran Neeley, and Jake Street. Also attending were <br />Priscilla McAnally, Library Director and Amanda Green, Friends of the Library <br />President. <br />The minutes from the November meeting were approved. <br />The budget report was favorable. <br />Ms. McAnally discussed the website upgrade within the City of Paris computer system. <br />The library site should be completed and back online soon. <br />November circulation statistics were down 24% from the same month of 2004, and <br />library visits were down 8 %. A total of 317 new items were added to the collection in <br />November. 130 new library cards were issued. <br />There were 17 memorial donations for November totaling $615. <br />There were 8 Children's programs with 67 children and 57 adults attending. Three tours <br />were given to Pre - Kindergarten children from Givens Elementary students. <br />Friends of the Library President Amanda Green distributed a copy of the recently mailed <br />newsletter. <br />Book sales in the lobby to benefit the library continue to bring in approximately $80 per <br />week. Dr. Green is in search of a warehouse or space that might be used for book storage <br />for future book sales. <br />April 24 is the date for the Spring Luncheon.
