Paris Public Library Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />January 22, 2014 <br />Opening: <br />The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:05 p.m. <br />Present: <br />Pat Books, Connie Dodd, Fran Neeley, Ann Norment, Linda Vandiver, and director Priscilla <br />McAnally were present. Absent were Judith Kimbrough and Alice Woodard. <br />I. Approval of Minutes <br />The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved as presented. <br />II. New Business: <br />Upcoming programs: <br />A beginner's knitting class will be offered starting Monday, February 3 from <br />2 to 4 p.m. It will last for six weeks. Linda Johnson is the instructor. <br />Beginning Tuesday, February 11 and going through Tuesday, March 11 <br />Dr. Alice Woodard will be leading a short fiction discussion group starting at <br />6:30 p.m. <br />Both classes will be held in the library's Gallery meeting room. <br />III. Old Business <br />We are currently working on the technical aspects of the Overdrive implementation. <br />It should be up on the website within the next week or two. <br />IV. Presentations <br />A. Budget Report: <br />No unusual expenditures <br />B. Statistical Report: <br />Circulation and visits were down. The library was closed for four days in December <br />— the Christmas holidays and two days due to no electrical power because of the ice <br />storm. This may account for the some of the decrease. <br />
