MINUTES <br />WORK SESSION <br />CITY COUNCIL TASK FORCE ON CODE ENFORCEMENT <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2007 <br />1. Call meeting to order and roll call. <br />The City Council Task Force on Code Enforcement was called to order by Chairman Wilson <br />at 5:00 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Don Wilson, Chairman <br />Will Biard <br />Steve Brown <br />Bruce Frazier <br />Jim Lassiter <br />Charles Richards <br />John S. House <br />Marilyn Bellevance <br />Pete Kampfer <br />Bee Garmon <br />Oscar Johnson <br />Cheryt Moore <br />Zachary Saffle <br />Jerome Pipkins <br />Don B. Taylor <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Chris Brown <br />Charles Fulbright <br />C. Also present were Lisa Wright, Director of Community Development; Kent McIlyar, <br />City Attorney; Kevin Carruth, City Manager; Janice Ellis, City Clerk; Todd Varner, <br />Code Enforcement Officer; Robert Talley, Code Enforcement Officer; Rick Hundley, <br />Building Official; John Lestock, Assistant City Attomey/Municipal Court Prosecutor; <br />Ronnie Grooms, Fire Chief; and Karl Louis, Police Chief. <br />Prior to moving to item 2, Chairman Wilson announced that Bob Bush wished to give a <br />presentation. It was the opinion of Mr. Bush that if people were cited and subsequently fined within <br />thirty days, they would cease to litter in the city. Mr. Bush also stated that he supported the efforts of <br />the Task Force Committee. <br />
