W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance, suggested a five year look at what
we feel is needed and get an estimated cost of the projects.
Mr. Anderson also said since we are going to do a rate study, request
those who will be doing the study to propose a feasible inverted rate
where the small user charges will stay low, and the more water you
consume the more you pay, let it graduate instead of decline. Mr.
Anderson said that the Texas Water Commission was favoring this method,
that they do not give approval to a declining water rate schedule like
the one we currently have.
Chairman Fendley said that it was the consensus of the Committee to
instruct city staff to put a priority list together along with cost
estimates of the projects, and bring this information back to the
Committee.
Councilman Clifford asked that a requested be made to the Mayor to
rename the Committee - the Bond Study Committee.
Chairman Fendley told the Committee that a meeting will be set later
when the requested information is available.
CURTIS FENDLEY, CHAIRMAN
ATTEST:
MATTIE CUNNINGHAM, CITY CLERK
