gathered by the Committee. It was a consensus they would give all of the information gathered to
the Paris News reporter and that they would develop a list of frequent asked questions and answers
to be placed on the web -site. They also agreed they could give the City Council updates for
informational purposes only.
Shawn Napier told the Committee that Jim Mathews was tentatively scheduled to meet with
them on May 291h and asked that they submit to him any questions they may have for Mr. Mathews.
Richard Quarles asked that staff create a calendar reflecting deadlines and meeting dates. John
Kruntorad inquired if it would be possible to have the calendar placed on the web -site and Shawn
Napier answered in the affirmative.
Pike Burkhart wanted to know if the City of Irving was conducting the same studies as the
City of Paris. Chairman Hayter said that the City of Irving was doing most of the studies and the
City of Paris' consultants would be reviewing those studies and representing Paris' interests.
The Committee commended the work done by the sub - committee.
5. Review and discuss the briefing books.
Chairman Hayter moved to section 4 of the briefing book for review of the contract with
Texas Water Development board for a volumetric study. Subsequently, Chairman Reeves moved
to section 5 and referenced the table reflecting the sale of water to various entities. Chairman Reeves
stated that all water sold by Paris had been treated water up until Lamar Power Partners. He pointed
out that Paris sells Lamar Power both raw and treated water.
6. Receive questions for Attorney Jim Matthews of Mathews & Freeland.
Chairman Hayter reminded the members to submit their questions to Shawn Napier prior to
May 20`h
7. Possible future agenda items.
Chairman Hayter reminded the Committee they had a tentative meeting scheduled for June
5th and a regular meeting for June 12th.
8.
