MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY, JUNE 9, 2010 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />The Historic Preservation Commission meeting was called to order by Arvin Starrett, Chairman at <br />12:00 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br />Susan Scholz, Secretary <br />Douglas Cox <br />Matt Coyle <br />Paul Denney, Vice - Chairman <br />Jerry Raper <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Ben Vaughan <br />C. Also present was Shawn Napier, Director of Engineering, Planning and Development. <br />2. Approval of'minutes.fi -om previous minutes. (May 24, 2010) <br />Motion was made by Susan Scholz, seconded by Matt Coyle to approve the minutes for the May 24, <br />2010 meeting. Motion carried 6 -0. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the following Fagade grant: <br />A. 128 Clarksville Street — Nancy Anderson — Motion was made by Paul Denney, seconded by <br />Susan Scholz to approve the Fagade Grant. <br />4. Discussion of and possible action on comparative language of'the Design Guidelines on signage <br />versus the Sign Ordinance. No action taken. <br />5. Report and update, from the Main Street Advisory Board by Matt Coyle. Matt Coyle made the <br />report to the commissioner. <br />6 Report, discussion and possible action on the final copy of the brochure for the Historic District. <br />Matt Coyle presented the final brochure to the commission. After review the commission requested <br />the tax exemption information be added to the brochure. Matt will come back with the requested <br />changes. <br />Request items for future agendas. Facade grant, bring back item 4 and 5, report from Robert Talley <br />on downtown buildings. <br />
