May, 1985 <br />ADVISORY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />MINUTES <br />The Advisory Board of Health met at the Paris -Lamar County Health Unit on <br />Tuesday, May 14, 1985. The meeting was called to order about 7 :15 P.M. <br />by the Chairman, Mr. Hack Blankenship. The following members were present; <br />Mr. Hack Blankenship, Mrs. Ann Norment, Dr. Bill George, Dr. Richard Bercher, <br />Dr. Wally Kraft, and Rev. Samuel Evans. Also present were: Dr. Hillhouse <br />and Anthony Bethel, representing the Health Department. <br />The first topic of discussion was a report by Dr. Hillhouse on the WIC <br />program. He informed the Board that he had received information from them, <br />but that it might be a while before we are able to get it here, because <br />they are low on funds. He also advised them that the carpenters would be <br />here Friday to begin installation of the floor coverings. Mrs. Kennedy <br />reported that she was unable to locate any kind of burglar alarm device. <br />Mr. Bethel reported that he had hired Mr. Robert Ricks as Sanitation Inspec- <br />tor I, to begin work on Monday, May 20th. <br />Dr. Hillhouse explained how he had arrived at the salary which he was re- <br />questing for the coming fiscal year. <br />Dr. Hillhouse also reported that two clerk II's had not been receiving the <br />amount of pay as is stated on the State Schedule and asked the Board to <br />permit him to pay the difference of $6.00 retroactive for six months. Motion <br />was made by Mrs. Norment that this be done, motion was seconded by Reverend <br />Evans. Motion carried. <br />Dr. Hillhouse asked the Board to consider an increase in salary, up to step <br />III, in the amount of $1,142. a month for Betty Kennedy, Clerk III. <br />
