MINUTES <br />PARIS -LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH <br />NOVEMBER 25, 1987 <br />The Paris -Lamar County Board of Health met Wednesday, Nov- <br />ember 25, 1987 at the Holiday Inn. The meeting and dicussion <br />was called to order at 7:35 A.M. The board members present were <br />Dr. Bert Strom, Dr. Tom Cutrell, and Dr. Bill George. <br />The minutes from the previous meeting were reviewed. <br />Anthony Bethel read the Administrative Report list with <br />number of services performed by the Health Department for the <br />months of September and October. Dr. Hillhouse mentioned the <br />City, County employee physicals and Green Thumb physicals he <br />takes care of. There were no HTLV tests done in September and <br />only 4 were done in October. Dr. Strom would like to see more <br />criteria on HTLV next meeting. At this point there are no State <br />funds for upgrading our building. Sue Smith is working on some- <br />thing concerning funds for our building. There were three bids <br />on janitorial services. Mr. Harold Scott bid $355.00, Duane <br />Campbell bid $430.00 and Wayne Kirby bid $475.00. Duane Campbell <br />bid $70.00 monthly for upkeep of grounds. Board members will <br />discuss the bids again at our next meeting pending vote and <br />approval. <br />The roofing bids were read. A pitched or gabled roof was <br />discussed. They will talk more about roofing our next meeting. <br />Gene Anderson mentioned that he mailed a financial report <br />to everyone. <br />Dr. Bert Strom studied the Holidays that Health Department <br />personnel take every year. He said there would be no change <br />with our Holidays at this point. <br />Dr. Cutrell discussed job descriptions for Health Department <br />personnel. He stated that we really need a Personnel Director <br />and a Nursing Director appointed. This will be discussed again <br />at our next meeting. <br />In absence of Dr. Wally Kraft, Bob Ricks had checked with <br />the City of Paris concerning parking lot gravel. Gravel will <br />cost $802.00 and the City will spread it. It was.agreed to go <br />ahead with this and approve the money at the next meeting. <br />Latricia Miller, Lamar County Treasurer was present and <br />spoke concerning Indigent Health Care.
