She said he has worked to the best of.lils <br />abilities until surgery seven months ago. <br />Dr. Bercher stated that our board as a group appreciated <br />Dr. .Hillhouse for all his years of service at the Health <br />.,Depart . ment and wish him well now. He dismissed Dr. and <br />Mrs. Hillhouse and everyone stood as they were leaving at <br />7:30 a.m.. <br />The.board meeting went Into executive session at 7:35 <br />a.m.. Dr. Bercher stated that our minutes stood as <br />approved from the last meeting. <br />T.K. Haynes stated lie would check our balance in the <br />salary pool and see about Dr. Hillhouse'_s disability <br />compensation. He will check.on all options and see where <br />the Health Department and City of Paris legally stand. <br />Dr. Hillhouse did not work under a contract. This, is the <br />only case like this in the past fifteen years. <br />•�lV� <br />• Dr. Bercher discussed that maybe we should find out Dr. <br />Hillhouse's monthly med ion bill compensate this. <br />;n:da <br />T.K. stated that i Dr. Iillhouse his insurance <br />premiums <br />Dr. 1111*11iouse's signature <br />stamp was used only on health certificates, health <br />permits, and head lice prescriptions during the last seven <br />months. He:didn't sign any more birth or death <br />certl£lcates for the Texas Department of Health after. <br />October, 1988. <br />Mrs. Norment moved that the board find Dr. I•Iillhouse <br />medically disabled and unable to work any longer, an `� <br />that the board al.low him a medical resignation o rounds <br />of medical disability since October 19, 1988. All were in <br />favor of this motion, and the motion carried. <br />Dr.. Bercher asked that Dr. Hillhouse be notified of the <br />..board's decision by certified mail. Dr. Bercher will sign <br />the letter. The board will also solicit letters stating <br />,Dr. 11111house's medical disability from .Dr. Dunnington and <br />Dr. Grubb. <br />.The board decided to go ahead and send a letter to Dr. <br />Hillhouse today accepting hls resignation on grounds of <br />medioAl disability. Dr. Bercher asked that a copy of this <br />:letter be sent to everyone who usually gets a copy of the <br />�! s' <br />s <br />
