PAlti SAAMIAR COUNTY t3CARD OF IUSALTII <br />MINUTES OF MEETING <br />The Parts-Lamar County Board of health met at the Holiday <br />Inn of Paris on Tuesday, August 15, 1989. Dr. Bercher <br />called the meeting to order at 7:08 a.m.. The board, <br />members present were: Dr. Bercher, Dr. Cut rel1, Mrs. <br />Normeent, Mrs . Ellis, Dr . Strom, and Dr . Brooks . Dr. <br />Bercher read the minutes from the last meeting. <br />The minlmum charge of 11,4.00 for services was discussed at <br />IengtIt. This seems to be working out wi=ll for everyone <br />need Ing our services. <br />The City of Paris' Insurance company prefers that the <br />liability insurance on the premises of the health <br />Department be on a separate policy. Gene Anderson was not <br />present to discuss this. The discussion was suspended <br />until next meeting. <br />The montlily report for. <br />Bethel. Almost all of <br />Family Planning obtain <br />. ;ee a ,separate monthly <br />medicines given and a.11 <br />that expenses are less <br />the Jail patients. <br />,July was passed out by Anthony <br />the pre - natals coming through <br />Medicaid. The board would like to <br />sheet on Jail services, including <br />expenses there. It is believed <br />since Dr. Gonzalez has been seel rig <br />Dr. Gonzalez arrived at 7:90 a.m. and discussed the Jail <br />situsatton. Some of the inmates are very rowdy, and show <br />no respect to a woman doctor. She can refuse services to <br />these inmates. Dr. Cutrell proposed that we offer flu <br />vaccine to the Jail inmates at county expense. Dr. <br />Bercher seconded the motion, and all were in favor. This <br />could save on medical expenses in the long run. <br />Anthony Bethel will talk to Sheriff Gene Burns about the <br />Jail list of expenses. Dr. percher will send a letter to <br />Sher 1 f f Bur ns . <br />The next: meeting was scheduled for September 19, 1989, at <br />7:00 a.m., at the Holiday Inn of Paris. <br />This meeting was adjourned at 8 :07 a.m.. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Sharon Seals <br />
