PARIS -LAMAR COUNTY HEALTH BOARD <br />��Ukl jml <br />The Paris -Lamar County Health Board met on October 22, 1991, <br />at 6:45 A.M. at the Holiday Inn. <br />Quorum present was: Richard Bercher, M.D., Gordon B. Strom, <br />M.D., Mrs. Ann Norment, and Mrs. Frances Ellis. Others pre- <br />sent were: Lorrin Scott, P.A.C., Gene Anderson, T.K. Haynes, <br />Billy Joe Burnett, Anthony Bethel, and Sharon Seals. <br />Dr. Bercher called the meeting to order at 7:00 A.M. <br />The minutes were approved as read. <br />Lorrin Scott reported that Dr. Fetner is doing well. Barbara <br />Ward, R.N. went to Dallas recently for training about our <br />drug testing machine. Lorrin has agreed to do physicals on <br />100 children attending the Head Start Program at Givens Elem- <br />entary School. The board agreed that the Special Olympics <br />physicals should be done by local physicians. The LVN position <br />that was discussed in May was not included in the new Budget. <br />There was a communication problem as Gene Anderson didn't get <br />a copy of the listed personnel. Dr. Bercher asked that Dr. <br />Strom and Lorrin write a letter voicing our present need for <br />the LVN and be placed on the City Council and Commissioner's <br />Court Agendas. <br />Anthony Bethel presented copies of the monthly report. Family <br />Planning was down slightly. V.D., Inspections, and WIC numbers <br />were up. The county has not passed an ordinance yet to collect <br />restaurant inspection fees out in the county. Dr. Bercher asked <br />Anthony to write a letter from our board and send to the County <br />Commissioners. <br />The next board meeting is scheduled for November 26, 1991, at <br />6:45 A.M. at the Holiday Inn. <br />This meeting adjourned at 7:30 A.M. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Sharon J.
