PARIS -LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH <br />MINUTES OF MEETING <br />The Paris -Lamar County Board of Health held its regular <br />meeting on Wednesday, July 13, 1994 at the Holiday Inn. <br />Board members present included Dr. Robert Moseley, Dr. <br />Bert Strom, Dr. David Brock, Mrs. Ann Norment, and Mrs. <br />Frances Ellis. Others in attendance included Mike Malone, <br />T.K. Haynes, Judge Deane Loughmiller, Troy Owens, Alan <br />Weatherford, Latricia Miller, Anthony Bethel, Bob Ricks, <br />Barbra Francis, Mike Norby, Evelyn Freeman, Dr. Bill <br />Woodruff, and Danise Petticrew. <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:10 am, and a quorum <br />was established. The minutes of the previous meeting were <br />approved as submitted. <br />Under discussion of the Rural Health Clinic, Mr. Malone <br />stated that the City has given him authorization to sign <br />the application for the Rural Health Clinic if the County <br />signs it. Judge Loughmiller stated that the County would <br />sign the application subject to the approval of the budget <br />for the Rural Health Clinic. Evelyn Freeman reported that <br />preliminary approval has been received for a March of <br />Dimes grant for approximately $38,000.00, and that final <br />approval should be obtained by the Fall. Dr. Moseley <br />introduced Dr. Bill Woodruff to the Board, and asked if <br />members had any questions to ask Dr. Woodruff. Dr. <br />Woodruff stated that he would consider accepting the <br />position of Medical Director if it were offered, and added <br />that he would like to continue seeing jail inmates. <br />Under discussion of a fee schedule, Dr. Strom made a <br />motion that was seconded by Dr. Brock that the fee <br />schedule previously presented by Mr. Norby be implemented <br />as soon as possible. The motion passed. <br />Under discussion of the position of Medical Director for <br />the Health Department /Rural Health Clinic, Mrs. Norment <br />stated that this discussion had been held in executive <br />session in the past and she felt that it should be done in <br />executive session this time. No action was taken on the <br />position of the Medical Director, and a special meeting <br />was called for Monday, July 18th, for an executive session <br />to discuss the position of Medical Director for the Health <br />Department /Rural Health Clinic, and also the position of <br />Administrator for the Rural Health Clinic as Julie Maddox <br />has resigned. Mr. Norby added that Carrie Thompson has <br />been appointed on an interim basis as Administrator of the <br />Rural Health Clinic. <br />Anthony Bethel presented monthly reports for the Health <br />
