PARIS-LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH <br />MINUTES OF MEETING <br />The Paris-Lamar County Board of Health held its re cmlar <br />meeting on Wednesday, August 23, 1995, at the Holiday Inn <br />of Paris. Board members in attendance included Dr. Robert <br />Moseley, Dr. Bert Strom, Dr. David Brock, Dr. Charles <br />Tarvin, and Mrs. Francis Ellis. Others in attendance <br />included Mr. Mike Malone, Mr. T.K. Haynes, Mr. Gene <br />Anderson, Judge Deane Loughmiller, Mrs. Latricia Miller, <br />Mr. Troy Owens, Mr, Alan Weatherford, Mr. Mike Norby, Ms. <br />Evelyn Freeman, Mr. Gary Conwell, Mr. Bob Ricks, Mr. <br />Anthony Bethel, and Mrs. Barbra Francis. <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:17 am, and a quorum <br />was established. Dr. Strom moved that the minutes from <br />the previous meeting be approved, and Dr. Brock seconded <br />the motion. The motion passed. <br />Dr. Tarvin was sworn in before the meeting was called to <br />order. <br />Under discussion of the Intermediate Care Position at the <br />Health Department, Anthony stated that LaDonna Koehn will <br />take the job and work 6 hours per day,5 days per week for <br />$29.00 per hour. Dr. Strom made a motion that was <br />seconded by Dr. Brock that the Board move ahead and <br />negotiate a job offer for LaDonna and that the City and <br />County be involved in the process. The motion carried. <br />Under discussion of a new phone system for the Health <br />Department, Anthony informed the Board that AT&T gave him <br />a bid of approximately $12,000 for a system with automatic <br />answering, and that they will allow us $450.00 for <br />trade -in for our old system. Dr. Moseley asked Anthony to <br />check with Tex-A-Page to see if they could offer a system. <br />Anthony discussed a bill received from St. Joseph's <br />Honital regarding a charge of $5,000 for billing and <br />collection. Anthony stated he was not aware that this was <br />included in the COPC grant received, and Mr. Norby stated <br />that there was an amount in the grant received for billing <br />and collection. <br />Gene Anderson brought up that Pauline McDonald, Lab. <br />Tech., is doing L.V.N. work, and discussed bringing her <br />salary up to that of an L.V.N. while she was doing L.V.N. <br />work, which was approximately 509o- of the time. Dr. Strom <br />made a motion that was seconded by Dr. Tarvin to up <br />Paul. ine's salary to L.V.N. scale. The m., 4ot4-V car � � 4 ed. <br />
