Faris — .Lamar County Zeafth Department <br />400 West Sherman Street <br />Paris, Texas 75460 E <br />Voice: 903-785-4561 " <br />www.parisia!varhealth.com <br />a <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting <br />Paris - Lamar County Board of Health <br />The Paris - Lamar County Board of Health held a regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2014. <br />In attendance were Dr. Rick Erickson, Dr. Keith House, Mrs. Kristi Head, Dr. William George, and Dr. Mark <br />Gibbons. Not in attendance were Dr. Lav Singh and Mr. William Collins. Others in attendance were Mrs. Gina <br />Prestridge, Ms. Cheryl Johnson, Mrs. Carla Rhodes, Mrs. Nita Johnson, Mrs. Rebecca Sanders and Mr. Gene <br />Anderson. Meeting was called to order at 5:01 p.m. by Dr. Erickson. <br />Dr. Erickson called the meeting to order in open session at 5:34 p.m. <br />Dr. Gibbons made the motion and was seconded by Mrs. Head that minutes from the January 21St, 2014 <br />meeting be approved. <br />Mrs. Prestridge advised the board members that she had spent approximately $110,000.00 of the DSRIP <br />money to pay off the construction note and only the 20 -year lease is remaining for approximately <br />$105,000.00., then after the 20- years, we can lease for $1.00 a year. Mrs. Prestridge also requested that the <br />PLCHD and WIC employees be granted 10 hours of Holiday leave since they work 10 hour days and the board <br />application was changed to reflect two consecutive three -year staggered terms. All members voted to <br />accept these changes. Dr. Erickson made the motion and was seconded by Dr. House to approve the <br />Interlocal Agreement (ILA) with changes to section 1.2, 1.3, and 6.3. (1.2 — remove "who shall resided in the <br />County for a period of three years or more preceding their appointment", 1.3 — remove "or employee" from <br />be related to an elected official or employee, and 6.3 — delete this entire section.) Dr. House made the <br />motion and was seconded by Dr. Erickson to accept the ILA with these changes and then to provide a copy to <br />the City of Paris and Lamar County with an effective date at the end of this fiscal year on September 30th. All <br />members accepted. Mrs. Prestridge advised that Cheryl Johnson will take over the Payroll responsibilities <br />and Mrs. Prestridge will take over the Accounts Payable responsibilities. Dr. Erickson made the motion and <br />was seconded by Mrs. Head to give Mrs. Prestridge and Ms. Johnson a stipend pay of $78.00 per week to <br />cover these extra responsibilities with DRSIP money and also accept the accounting policies and procedures. <br />McClanahan and Holmes, CPA, will be conducting monthly, quarterly and annual audits. All members <br />approved. Mrs. Prestridge advised we will have three members with expiring terms in June 2014 and also Dr. <br />Singh has given a written letter of resignation. Board will decide when to advertise for the openings. <br />Longevity pay will continue at $4.00 per month times years of service. Longevity pay for civil service <br />employees must be paid on every check. <br />
