Received <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING il <br />PARIS -LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH C,% Of Paris <br />Ci. Clerk <br />The Paris -Lamar County Board of Health held its regular meeting, Tuesday May 20 2008, at the <br />Paris -Lamar County Health Department. Board members in attendance include Dr. Robert <br />Moseley, Dr. David Carpenter, Dr. Bert Strom, Dr. Wally Kraft and Dr. Mary Gail Miesch. <br />Others in attendance included Mr. Anthony Bethel, Ms. Cecelia Kane, Mrs. Carla Rhodes, Ms. <br />Mandy Helberg and Ms. Connie Stauter. <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:15 PM. <br />Minutes of previous meeting approved, Dr. Moseley made the motion and the second made by <br />Dr. Carpenter. <br />Ms. Kane states postpartum patients are not going back to the obstetrician that delivered their <br />baby, for their six week check -up and then later come to the Health Department for a check -up. <br />Dr. Carpenter states that if he can get the patients name, he would try to find out who the doctor <br />that delivered was. <br />Dr. Kraft states board members should go the Mark Homer for help with illegals in our county. <br />He will call- Mark Homer and make plans with him for lunch with some of the board members <br />to discuss problems with illegals in our county. <br />Mr. Bethel states the Agape House has expressed a need for Health Department to do Pap <br />Smears for $55.00 per test. <br />Dr. Carpenter wants to know who will read the Pap Smears and discussed who will see the <br />patient if the results are HPV positive. <br />Mr. Bethel states the State reads all Pap Smears. <br />Dr. Kraft made a motion and second by Dr. Strom, to do Pap Smears for the Agape House and <br />accept $55.00 per test. Board members voted unanimously to accept the motion. . <br />Mr. Bethel discussed changes in budget for FY2009. <br />Board members voted to approve budget with added changes in personnel, additional Clerk II in <br />WIC. Car allowance increased to $500.00 for Anthony Bethel, Kathie Meyer and Jae <br />Dickinson, and increase to $400.00 for Carol Hill. Dr. Strom made the motion and the second <br />make by Dr. Moseley. <br />
