Minutes of Regular Meeting <br />Paris -Lamar County Board of Health <br />The Paris -Lamar County Board of Health held its regular meeting Wednesday, June 6, <br />2003 at Christus St. Joseph Health System, North Campus. Board members in attendance <br />included Dr. -Robert Moseley, Mrs. Ann Norment and Ms. Bonham Others in attendance <br />included Judge Chuck Superville, Mr. Anthony Bethel, Mrs. LaDonna Koehn, Mr. Paul <br />Swasko and Mrs. Carla Rhodes. <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 AIM. <br />Board members that were present discussed the positions that are vacant on the Board. <br />Mrs. Norment suggested Joe Mathis, instructor at Paris Junior College and Dr. Tuesday <br />Chadwick. <br />Mr. Bethel states that one of the positions vacant has to be a doctor, preferably a <br />pediatrician. He also states that Dr. Krafft has not spoke to Dr. Clark yet, to see if he has <br />any suggestions. <br />Judge Superville suggested talking to Lamar County Physicians Association. <br />W. Bethel suggested a school nurse for one of the positions. He also states the City <br />Manager and the County Judge are the ones to appoint the Board members. <br />Mr. Bethel reports on the Quality Assurance Audit. <br />Mrs. Norment asked about the equipment discussed at the last Board meeting. <br />Mr. Bethel states that the hospital doesn't have an exam table available and he couldn't <br />get an EKG machine or defibrillator at the price discussed. To purchase these items it will <br />need to be in the budget. <br />Judge Superville requested going over the financial Budget at each Board meeting. <br />Mr. Swasko discussed how the sell of the hospital will affect the Health Department and <br />Community. <br />Respectfully submitted <br />By Carla Rhodes <br />
