MINUTES OF THE FIRE, AND BUILDING COE REVIEW COMMITTEE <br />CITY COUCIL CHAMBER <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET, PARIS, TEXAS <br />JUNE 15, 2010 <br />6:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Chairman Waldrum called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. The following member were present: <br />Carolyn Whelchel, Johnny Norris, Mike Davenport, Bryan Hargis, and Council Member Edwin Pickle. Also <br />present were city staff Shawn Napier and Dale Maberry. <br />2. Present in the room were member of the public Jeff and Mary Faber and A. W. Clem. The Faber's <br />present a plan they had for their loft and the difficulties they were having with the current codes. <br />3. Minutes from the previous meetings were approved. <br />4. The draft of amendment for the IFC were reviewed and sent to the City Attorney for final draft. <br />5. The IBC was considered for approval subject to the final draft from the City Attorney with the <br />following amendment added: a motion made by Carolyn Whelchel and seconded by Johnny Norris to <br />not adopt sections: 101.4.1, 101.4.2, 101.4.3, 101.4.4, 101.4.5, 101.4.7 and was passed by the <br />committee. <br />6. The IEBC was discussed and table to be considered with the other codes and amendments at the <br />same time for recommendation to the council. <br />7. Bryan Hargis made a motion to adopt the 2008 NEC seconded by Johnny Norris and passed by the <br />committee to recommend to the council. <br />8. No deliberation on fees as this was done at a previous meeting. <br />9. Future agenda is meeting at June 29, review draft from City Attorney of amendments and review <br />qualifications of review board members. Make final recommendation to the City Council. <br />Adjournment 7:00 p.m. <br />
