MINUTES <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />TUESDAY, JANUARY 30, 1979 <br />7:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />The Airport Advisory Board met in regular session in the terminal <br />building at Cox Field on Tuesday, January 30, 1979, at 7:00 p.m. <br />with the following members present: <br />1. Rick Rex, chairman <br />2. T.D. Mallison <br />3. James Mosely <br />4. Allie O'Brien <br />5. Joann Ondrovik- Burress <br />Also present at the meeting were Jim Collier, Airport Manager, <br />Pat Wright, Bob Wright, Don Whitaker, Cecil Honeycutt, Michael <br />Malone, Jimmy Wrenn, Billy Wrenn, and Bill Howard. <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Rick Rex. The minutes <br />were read, indicating no business was conducted for the December <br />meeting due to lack of quorum. <br />As the first order of business, Joann Ondrovik- Burress was elected <br />the new secretary. Following was an orientation given by Jim <br />Collier to the new members of the Board. This consisted of an <br />explanation of the grounds, the flights and services provided by <br />the airport. <br />Old Business: <br />1. Jim Collier reported on the progress of T- Hanger construction by <br />James Wright for $68,225.00 Bids have been let on the total project, <br />and concrete construction is to begin in two weeks, as weather <br />permits. The City has the site prepared. <br />2. Discussion of Hanger leasing to Jimmy Wrenn was unnecessary <br />as the Board recommendations were adopted by the City Council, as <br />was suggested. No further action was necessary. <br />3. Site Plan drawings were discussed, and a motion was made by <br />T.D. Mallison and seconded by James Mosely that site plans for the <br />installation of storage tanks, pumps, and the proposed firehouse - <br />pilots' lounge- operations office be requested of the City Engineering <br />Department of contracted by a private draftsman if the City is <br />unable to provide this service. The motion passed 4 to 0, with one <br />abst @ntion by Allie O'Brien due to "insufficient information." <br />4. Underground gasoline storage tanks and pumps were discussed. <br />Mr. Collier presented Smith Equipment's contract pump estimate for <br />two fiberglass tanks (a 6,000 gallon tank and an 8,000 gallon tank). <br />The estimate was $14,500 to 15,000, including plumbing and a remote <br />control unit in the building. <br />
