2. Presentation by Paris Area Aviation Council (PAAC) for <br />final review of hangar rental fees: <br />Johnny Bell summarized the PAAC survey of Oklahoma and <br />Texas airports (see attached chart). The survey results <br />showed a wide range of fees and services as well as a <br />scarcity of open T- Hangars, especially recently constructed. <br />Methods of determining; rental fee rates were again dis- <br />cussed. Mr. Moseley stated that his original position <br />that rental fees should pay the construction cost of the <br />hangars over a 15 to 20 year period was unchanged. How- <br />ever, whether the present rate was set at $45 or at X35 /mo.. <br />didn't matter, as long; as rates are reviewed yearly and <br />increased so as to pay for the hangars over the amortization <br />period. Or. Ondrovik agreed.. <br />Mr. Moseley moved: That the Airport Board recommend to the <br />City Council that the open T- Hangar rental rate be reset <br />to *35 per month and reconsidered on a yearlybasis be the <br />Board : Dr. Ondrovik seconded the motion, and it carried 3 <br />to 2 with Mr. O'Brien and Mr.,Mallison opposi.ngr. <br />This motion was called out of order by Chairman Rex so as to <br />consider Mr. O'Brien's preceding motion: That open T- Hangar <br />rental_ fees remain unchanged at 'V-15/ mo_t Mr. Mallison sec - <br />onded the motion and it was den . P 3 -2 with Mr. lbMoselv_� Dr. <br />Ondrovik and Chairman Rex opposing._. <br />Mr. Moseley again moved: That the Airport Board recommend <br />to the Citv Council that the open- - Hangar rental rate be <br />reset to mo. and reconsidered on a yearly basis by the <br />Board. <br />Dr. Ondrovik again seconded the motion, and it carried <br />3 to 2 with Mr. O'Brien and Mr. Mallison opposing. <br />New .Business: <br />1. Discuss 1ettinp-• out bids on the three old tin hangars: <br />Theoard considered the costs (both in dollars and time) <br />to the city for advertising to let bids and also the offer <br />by_PAAC members to assist in tearing down the old hangars. <br />Allie O'Brien made a motion, seconded by T. D. Mallison, <br />that: PAAC ba Granted aut ority to Jear down three old <br />tin T- Hangars Lvi.th proceeds to go to Pilots' Lounge. The <br />vote was unanimously approved.. <br />
