February 26, 1975
MEMORANDUM
TO: PLANNING COMMISSION
FROM: DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
SUBJECT: AGENDA ITEMS FOR MARCH 3, 1975
ITEM NO. 1: This zoning change request involves a 1.46 acre tract of land
located on the Northeast corner of Clarksville Street and the proposed
extension of Pride Circle out of Tanglewood Addition No. 7. The applicant
is requesting General Retail zoning which would allow a wider range of land
use than the Neighborhood Service Zoning presently on the property. The
property immediately West of this tract has been purchased for the expansion
of the Pleasant Grove Nursing Home.
The request would seem reasonable considering the location of the property
and the fact that the proposed change would be from one business classification
to another slightly less restrictive.
Staff recommends approval if the applicant would agree to a solid screening
fence, at least six feet high, along the North and East property lines, adjacent
to residential zoning.
ITEM NO. 2: The developer of Tanglewood Addition No. 7 is requesting approval
of the Final Plat of that subdivision. All improvements have not been
completed at this time and a recommendation from the Director of Public
Works will be submitted to you at the meeting.
ITEM NO. 3: A large scale map will be ready at meeting time to help in the
discussion of a permanent name of the new street East of Paris Junior College.
Thank you,
e N. McCollum
rector of Community Development
JNM /kh
