probl €ems due to the small number of lots to be served off the lines. <br />The Conraission posed sevaral questions to both engineers concerning water <br />demand. number of households that could be served from different size lines <br />and extension of lines. <br />Mr. Abbett stated that in the absence of ordinance requiring a minimums 6" <br />water main, it would not be proper to require a larger main if the 4" would <br />provide the service. <br />Following further discussion. Mr. Thornton made a motion to approve the <br />Revised Preliminary Plat of Golden Acre Estates subject to the exceptions <br />listed in the Director of Public Works memorandum dated July 6, 1976 marked <br />Exhibit B and attached hereto deleting item No. 6. Mr. Abhett seconded the <br />motion and all voted aye. <br />Next was discussion of the Subdivision Regulations. Mr. Killingsworth pointed <br />out .to the Commission several sections of the ordinance which City Staff <br />members had discussed and felt revisions ney be needed. <br />Mr. Haynes mentioned the need for a pro rate ordinance to more fairly dis- <br />tribute costs for extension of water and sewer mains. <br />Both stated they were not prepared to offer specific recrmmndations at this <br />time. <br />Kr. Thornton suggested postponement of discussion at this time until more <br />specific infor w tion could be presented. <br />It was agreed by the Commmission to place this item on the September.Agenda <br />for discussion. <br />With no further business appearing. the meeting was adjourned. <br />i • i'l'l e_ca <br />&e N.
