July 12, 1978
M'FM PANDIN
TO : BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
FROM : DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
SUBJECT: AGENDA ITEMS FOR JULY 19, 1978
1. Lowry Carrington: A Minor Plat has been prepared dividing Lot 13,
City Block 253 -B into two lots for the purpose of creating another
building site. One house exists on the original lot and the additional
building side would be on a lot that is 55 feet wide and 171 deep.
The Zoning Ordinance requires a minimum width of 60 feet in this area
which is zoned SF -2.
Inasmuch as the lot will exceed the depth and area requirements and
because there are several other lots in the immediate neighborhood that
are less than 60 feet wide, I feel it is a reasonable request and recommend
approval.
2. Jack L. Lynch: A Building Permit was requested and denied for a
19'x24' carport to be added to the front of 2345 Briarwood Drive. The
permit was denied due to the proposed front set back of 5 feet instead
of the 25 foot minimum required.
This is a relatively new neighborhood with no visible non - conforming
structures and I see no reason to approve it.
Thank you.
V1 •
e N.
