M. Felty, Mr,. Hubert Westfall., Dr..,James Brunette, and Mr. <br />Charlie Adkins. Members unabl a ..to attend, were Mr. James .Farri.s. and Mr. F. C. <br />Mallory, III. Others present:. -vrere: Mr..Kerry..R.- Sweatt, Clay Manager; Mr. <br />John Cooke, Director of Publ is Works.; tor. _Ed .Kharnat, .acting City Engineer; <br />Mr. Ed Hoak, Director of Plann ng;.Mr. .Ryan Carmphell, assistant to the planner; <br />Mr. Nathan Bell, property owner.; and Mr. Jim.Nobel. Thompson,. attorney. <br />The first item of business to cone before the Board was the election of <br />officers. A motion was made by Dr. James. Brunettethat Dr_ .. L_._M._._£elty__serve <br />as Chairman. The motion t�.,as. seconded by Mr. Charlie Adkins and then passed <br />unanimously. Dr. Jams Brunette made the moti.on that F. D._ Mallory, III <br />s -rve as Alternate Chas :pan of the Board.. Mr.. Hubert seconded the motion. <br />A motion that nominations cease was. made: by Mr.- Charlie Adkins. After being <br />seconded by Mr. Hubert Westfall the motion carried unanimously. Dr. James <br />Brunette nominated Mr. �.e_rt._k stfall to-serve as Secretary. It was <br />seconded by lair. Charlie Adkins- and carried unapposed. A motion was made by <br />Dr. James Brunette and seconded by Mr. Hubert.tlestfall. that Charlie Adkins <br />serve as Alternate Secretary. The notion carried unanimously. <br />This concluded the organizational, busi.ness..to come .before the Board at <br />I.-his meeting. <br />Dr. F'elty opened the meeting to hear. the .appaals_..oT .Mr.. Nathan Bell. <br />The Chairman read Petition Mo.. 74.01 e6n-e ruing . .yar_d ..excep. on, and- - . <br />as.. Mr. Bel T U . _cta rut. Per.= .tell.,_ at this .ti.me.,..ask that the meeting <br />be recess_d. due to new .options._ that, were_ - pending. Kr.. Thompson, .representing <br />other interested parties backed up Mix 8el.l.`s. request, .saying that the new <br />options would be acceptable to-the parties that be,represented. It was <br />also suggested that the appeal. , to. the Board could he ..ammended at that time. <br />Mr. Charlie Adkins made the motion that the meeting.be m essed until <br />Ma 7, ,1974, at 5:15 P.M._ The motion was seconded by Dr. James Brunette. <br />The rnotlon passed unanimously.. <br />H.
