Robert Talley's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 6 -0 <br />Sally McEwin asked Robert Talley what sources he has to find the property owners? Robert <br />stated that he has a couple of tracking programs on his computer, the Paris Police Department <br />helps him and he can use the resources at the Appraisal District. <br />D. 1006 NW 13th; Fuller - Dohoney Addition Block J, Lot PT of 3 & PT of 4 <br />Owner: Bonita Elaine Minor & Larry McCuin & Kenneth McCuin & Bob Wayne <br />McCuin 1019 NW 7th Paris, TX 75460 <br />Present: Bonita Minor 1019 NW 7`h Paris, TX 75460 <br />Taxes owed: $11042.83 <br />Robert Talley stated the property is unsecure with broken windows, has <br />deteriorating and rotting of the foundation, missing and deteriorating wood, <br />sinking into the ground, siding popping off, and the carport wall is busted open. <br />Mrs. Minor stated that the property belonged to her father which passed away <br />about 10 years ago. The fathers will was not probated but he left the property to <br />his son Kenneth McCuin. Mrs. Minor explained that her brothers are scattered in <br />different states and do not want the property. She agrees the property needs to be <br />demolished but would like time to get items out of the house. Robert Talley <br />explained that she has several months to remove what she needs. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Zac Saffle to accept Robert <br />Talley's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 6 -0 <br />E. 325 E Sherman; City Block 141, Lot 14 <br />Owner: Herman McCray 325 E Sherman Paris, TX 75460 <br />Taxes owed: $189.57 Robert Talley explained that taxes have not been paid on <br />this property since 2007 and the reason the figure was so low is that the tax rate is <br />only about $12 -$20 per year. <br />Robert Talley stated that there is deterioration on the porch, the trim is pulling <br />loose, the structure is sinking, the foundation has damage, it is missing and has <br />deteriorating siding, siding is sloping out due to the house sinking, the structure is <br />unsecure with open windows, and there is damage inside the house also. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Discussion: Don Wilson asked how this property was brought to BSC because <br />looking at the front of the structure it seems to be a sound structure. Robert Talley <br />explained while inspecting a structure at 335 E Sherman he saw the back of 325 <br />and decided to investigate. <br />Motion was made by Sally McEwin, seconded by Wendell Moore to accept <br />Robert Talley's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 6 -0 <br />
