Heights, Block 3, Lot 11 & 13 <br />O. 1605 Van Zandt, Harlan Heights, Block 3, Lot 11 & 13 <br />Owner: Michael L Alexander 226 NE 6t11 Paris, TX 75460 <br />Present: Michael L Alexander <br />Mr. Talley stated that the property at 1605 Van Zandt has deterioration on the <br />roof line, daylight is showing through the holes in roof, windows and doors are <br />unsecure, and the underpinning is gone. <br />Mike Alexander asked the Building and Standard Commission for 90 days to fix <br />or demo the structure. He has talked to Sanitation Solutions about the demo of the <br />structure. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 90 days to repair or demolish if not the City has <br />the right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Vicky Ballard, seconded by Johnny Norris to allow Mr. <br />Alexander 90 days to have the property repaired or demolished, if not the <br />City has the right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty to the <br />property. Motion carried unanimously. 5 -0 <br />N. 563 E Price, City of Paris, Block 36, Lot 6 -A <br />Owner: David G Harris 1380 NE 20' Paris, TX 75460 <br />Present: David G Harris <br />Robert Talley showed pictures of broken windows and open doors, unsecure <br />property, deterioration of wood, wood blocks twisting, missing underpinning, <br />hole's in roof, and water damage to inside ceiling. <br />Mr. Harris asked BSC to give him 45 days to sale the property. He doesn't have <br />the finances to fix the property. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 60 days to demolish if not the City has the right <br />to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Chris Brown to follow <br />Robert Talley's recommendation for the property owner to demolish the <br />property in 60 days, if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a <br />$1000 per day civil penalty to the property. Motion carried unanimously. 5 -0 <br />F. 748 NE 2"d, City of Paris, Block 73 -A, Lot 7 <br />Owner: Mt. Zion United Methodist Church <br />Present: Linda Williams Board of Trustees <br />Robert Talley showed pictures of the structure leaning unsecure, damaged roof, <br />shingles rolling up, buckling, porch missing, and deterioration of wood. <br />Ms. Williams stated that the Mt Zion Board of Trustees met and have a contract to <br />have the structure tore down by February 25, 2013 if the weather is permitting. <br />She asked for 45 days to have the demolishion completed. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the right <br />to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />
