Paris EDC Board Meeting Minutes January 13, 2015 Page 4 of 5 Don Wilson made a motion to award Rocking E Moving and Storage the shredding of the 120 acres at $1,630 per quarter (3 times from March to October, annually) for 2015, 2016 and 2017; seconded by David Turner. Motion Carried 5 -0. David Turner made a motion to award Sanchez Lawn Care the herbicide application work at $412.00 per quarter (3 times from March to October, annually) for 2015, 2016 and 2017; seconded by Don Wilson. Motion Carried 5 -0. Discuss and possibly take action on 2015 Team Texas Membership Dues Stephen Grubbs asked how this would have benefitted the PEDC in the past. Shannon Barrentine replied that there were two events that included networking and relationship building, nothing monetary or tangible. Rebecca Clifford stated that the PEDC may not join this year but maybe next year. Rebecca Clifford made a motion to not pay the 2015 Team Texas Membership Dues of $3,000 but to reconsider next year; seconded by David Turner. Motion Carried 5 -0. Discuss and possibly take action on the 2015 Texas Legislative Conference sponsored by the Texas Economic Development Council in Austin, February 24 -26, 2015 Don Wilson told those present that there is beinga legislation passed to serve special interest groups. Someone needs to attend to bring back any information on activity for the 2015 legislative session. Don Wilson made a motion to have Shannon Barrentine attend along with any other Board member that is willing and able to attend, as well; seconded by John Brockman. Motion Carried 5 -0. Discuss and possibly take action on Lamar County Chamber of Commerce ad with Springhill Press Discussion took place regarding the numbers and circulation of the Chamber map. David Turner made a motion to approve the ad for the 2015 Chamber map for $360; seconded by Don Wilson. Motion Carried 5 -0. Discuss and possibly take action on the proposed Plan of Work for FY 2014 -15 and amendments to the PEDC Budget to fund the same Shannon Barrentine went over the Items in Goals 1 to 4 in the Plan of Work. She told those present that she had contacted James Wallace of Jazzy Frog web design to look at the current PEDC website and compare it to Longview and Tyler EDCs amongst others. Mr. Wallace will provide a proposal to revamp the website and host emails. Rebecca Clifford suggested that the PEDC Board work with the Airport Sub - Committee by assisting with creating, marketing, and financial support deemed appropriate, by the PEDC Board at that time, to help promote Cox Field. Don Wilson made a motion to approve the Plan of Work for FY 2014 -15, with amendments, to Goal 4 wording; seconded by David Turner. Motion Carried 5 -0.
