B. There was no opposition. Public hearing was declared closed. Motion was made by Rick Hundley, seconded by Allen Moore to approve the variance request. Motion carried 5 -0. 4. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of Kroger to grant a variance of Sign Ordinance No. 2008 -021, Section 28 -8(h) which provides that the "total sign face area of all permanent signs, combined on one property, including ground signs, pole signs, attached signs, etc. shall not exceed one (1) square foot per front foot of property line, or a maximum of three hundred (300) square feet, at any time, " to allow 1.32 square feet of sign face area per front foot of property, on Lot 1, Block A, Kroger Addition, being number 1310 Clarksville Street. Public hearing was declared open. A. The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition. Jerry, Kroger, Jerry stated they are changing and moving the existing pole sign. Kroger has shrunk the signage to the minimum allowable for their company. B. No one spoke in opposition. Public hearing was declared closed. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of Terry Ragan to grant a variance of Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, Section 9- 602(6), to modify the required side yard setback from S' to 2' on Lot 4, Block B, C.C. Rainey Addition, being number 3240 East Houston. Public hearing was declared open. A. The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition. Terry Ragan, 3240 East Houston, Mr. Ragan stated his father put up this carport before he died. His father must not have been aware that he needed a permit or that it was in the setback. B.
