B. There was no opposition. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by Rick Hundley, seconded by Allen Moore to approve the variance <br />request. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />4. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of Kroger to grant a <br />variance of Sign Ordinance No. 2008 -021, Section 28 -8(h) which provides that the "total <br />sign face area of all permanent signs, combined on one property, including ground signs, <br />pole signs, attached signs, etc. shall not exceed one (1) square foot per front foot of <br />property line, or a maximum of three hundred (300) square feet, at any time, " to allow 1.32 <br />square feet of sign face area per front foot of property, on Lot 1, Block A, Kroger Addition, <br />being number 1310 Clarksville Street. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />A. The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Jerry, Kroger, Jerry stated they are changing and moving the existing pole sign. <br />Kroger has shrunk the signage to the minimum allowable for their company. <br />B. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of Terry Ragan to grant a <br />variance of Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, Section 9- 602(6), to modify the required side yard <br />setback from S' to 2' on Lot 4, Block B, C.C. Rainey Addition, being number 3240 East <br />Houston. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />A. The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Terry Ragan, 3240 East Houston, Mr. Ragan stated his father put up this carport <br />before he died. His father must not have been aware that he needed a permit or <br />that it was in the setback. <br />B. No one spoke in opposition. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />
