MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND <br />ZONING COMMISSION <br />DECEMBER 6, 2004 <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission met Monday, December 6, 2004, <br />5:30 P.M., Lamar County Fairgrounds, Westside Building, 570 E. Center <br />Street, Paris, Texas with the following members present: <br />1. <br />Reeves Hayter <br />2. <br />Barbara Forrest <br />3. <br />Cleveland Thomas <br />4. <br />Brad Archer <br />5. Marshall Kent <br />6. Carl Lucas <br />7. Benny Plata <br />8. Bobby L. Myers <br />Lisa Wright, the Director of Community Development, was also present. <br />1. The meeting was called to order by Reeves Hayter at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. The minutes from the November 1, 2004, Planning and Zoning <br />meeting were approved with a motion by Bobby Myers, seconded by <br />Carl Lucas. Motion carried by a vote of 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />3. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Tony Bryant for a change <br />in zoning from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a <br />Planned Development District (PD -a), on Part of Lot 10, City Block <br />289, being located at 3231 Margaret Street. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />Brad Hutchison, 38 1st Street NW, spoke in favor of the petition on <br />behalf of Tony Bryant. Mr. Bryant wants to sell the property to <br />Guaranty Bond Bank. The bank has no immediate plans for the <br />property, they are just trying to square the property up. Residential <br />property cannot be replatted with Commercial. The bank would buy <br />only a portion of the lot (at the rear) and rezone it. <br />
