a <br />RESOLUTION NO. 92 -002 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did <br />heretofore in Resolution No. 90 -100, dated December 10, 1990, <br />authorize a Letter of Intent to the Texas Department of <br />Aviation and Application to be made for grant funds for Cox <br />Field Airport Improvements; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration, for and on <br />behalf of The United States has issued its Grant Award, <br />entitled, "AIP Project No. 3- 48- 0169- 02 -92" for the fiscal <br />year 1992, in the total amount of $458,889.00 requiring a <br />matching contribution of $22,944.00 by City; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the <br />citizens of Paris that the City of Paris accept said Grant <br />Award and continue to improve Cox Field Airport by extending <br />Taxiway A; grading and drainage improvements for Runway <br />17/35, Taxiways A and B; construct helipad and helipad access <br />road; overlay entrance road; and install perimeter fencing; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />1. That the Director of Community Development of the City <br />of Paris, Joe McCollum, be, and he is hereby appointed <br />Project Director. <br />2.
