RESOLUTION 88 -006 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has heretofore committed to a 1983 -1986 Urban Project for the reconstruction of First Street Northwest from its inter- section with Graham Street North to a proposed new inter- section with North Main Street being approximately 800 feet North of the North boundary line of Santa Fe Street's intersection with North Main Street. Such reconstruction to occur within a 60 foot right -of -way; and, WHEREAS, the right -of -way descriptions necessary for the completion of said street project will be furnished to the City of Paris by the State Department of Highways and Public Transportations as the plans of said project are developed; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of- Paris finds that it is in the best interest -of the citizens of Paris that said project be pursued and completed and that it would be right and proper for the City of Paris to procure all necessary right -of -way for said project; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation be assured that the City of Paris is firmly committed to the First Street Northwest reconstruction project under the 1983 -1986 Urban Project Number MH715 from Graham Street North to its intersection with North Main Street approximately 800 feet North of the North boundary line of Santa Fe Street's intersection with North Main Street and the funding for the procurement of right -of -way for the same.; and be it further resolved that the City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to proceed. to procure the right -of -way necessary for the above described reconstruction project. M., in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas on the 1st day of February, 1988, and a Public Hearing to be held by and before the City Council of the City of Paris at 5:15 P. M. in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas on the 4th day of February 1988, said Public Hearings to be held to hear all persons desiring to be heard concerning appropriate zoning of Tract One and Two of property annexed by Ordinance No. 87 -084 was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Wortham, seconded by Councilman Clifford for approval of the Resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays..
