A Resolution authorizing the execution of an agreement for water and sewer extension and service on Southwest Loop 286 with the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation was presented. City Manager Malone advised this has been requested by the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation for participation with them in installation of utilities to serve a facility on the S. W. Loop which is not presently being served by water and sewer, after negotiations with an Engineer /Architect in Austin, we have given you the City Engineer's estimate of the cost of construction, and the State has restrictions as to the amount of their participation which is $74,890.00. City Manager Malone told the Council that if we do not participate, the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation will install private lines on their right of way from Bonham Street to their site. The estimated cost to the City of Paris would be $73,100.00 which could be less. City Manager Malone also advised that the Resolution did not call for the pro rata provisions, and the Council may want to table action. After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Clifford to table action on the Resolution. The motion was seconded by Councilman Wortham and carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. Resolution No. 88 -013 authorizing an emergency force account project for the rehabilitation and modification of the following seven lift stations, Campbell, Northwest Loop (Battle's), Old Bonham Road, Woodard, 7th Street S. W., Toco, and Jefferson Heights was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Clifford, seconded by Councilman Kent for approval of the Resolution. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays.
