the Code of Ordinance which is entitled "Hunting or discharging <br />Firearms at Lake Crook to reflect the above recommendations. The <br />motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone advised that minutes has been furnished of the <br />meetings of the Water and Sewer Rate Study Advisory Committee, and no <br />action was required at this time. <br />City Attorney Haynes advised that recommendation of the Water and Sewer <br />Rate Study Advisory Committee regarding the residents of the Hilltop <br />Addition was that they should be charge double rate as others located <br />outside the city limits, and stated that septic systems could be <br />installed if the residents meet state requirements, that the City of <br />Paris would have no control over the installation. <br />Mayor Burnett called for consideration of an action on authorizing the <br />preparation of an Ordinance revising the Electrical Code of the City of <br />Paris and adopting the National Electrical Code 1987. <br />Joe McCollum, Director of Community Development, informed the Council <br />that the Electrical Board did make recommendations - inspection fee be <br />increased to $20.00, that service charges be increased to $10.00, and <br />additional fee of $.20 for each outlet including wall switches, minimum <br />charge for mobile home, increased license fee from $20.00 to $50.00 for <br />a contractor, and requiring the $1,000.00 bond to expire on the same <br />date as licenses, which is June 30th, of each year and require that <br />contractors have a. current bond in order to hold a contractor's license. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Bone, seconded by Councilman Kent <br />authorizing preparation of an ordinance revising the Electrical Code of <br />the City of Paris and adopting the National Electrical Code 1987. The <br />motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The minutes of the Library Advisory Board were furnished with no action <br />being required by the Council. <br />Ralph Taylor Route 4, Paris, Texas, Minister of Bethel Temple Church, <br />appeared before the Council requesting the City of Paris waive City <br />Ordinance on fire hydrant for a new church building on Loop 286 South. <br />Mr. Taylor explained that this would be a temporary church building <br />constructed of Metal approximately 80'x100' which will later be used as <br />a gym. Mr. Taylor said they did have an adequate water supply from a <br />pool located adjacent to this property. Mr. Taylor said water would be <br />installed when the permeant building is constructed hopefully within a <br />year, and said labor could be furnished by the church members for the <br />installation of the water line if the city could help out. <br />City Attorney Haynes replied that the labor could be applied to the pro <br />rata cost, and the city does sometimes assist when they desire a size <br />line larger than a 6 inch line. <br />Steve Burgin, Fire Chief, advised that city ordinance called for a <br />structure to be within 150 feet and not over 500 feet for a fire <br />hydrant, but if the pool that Mr. Taylor is referring to is accessible <br />
