Ballard Huddleston, Public Works Director, appeared before the <br />Council recommending the low bid of Case Power and Equipment, and <br />stated that the bid was within the budgeted amount of $14,000.00. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Hoog, seconded by Councilman Wortham <br />to accept the low bid of Case Power and Equipment in the amount of <br />$13,889.00 for one Four Wheel Tractor and Landscaper. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett announced that the next item on the agenda was <br />consideration and action on a request for authorization to proceed i..� <br />with utility relocation necessary for the construction of the <br />Collegiate Drive Improvement Project by force account. <br />Councilman Folmar entered the council chamber and assumed his seat at <br />the council table. <br />David Tompkins, City Engineer, appeared before the Council stating <br />that is was necessary to this project to relocate 1700 feet of sewer <br />mains, 10 manholes and approximately 80 - 100 feet of water mains at <br />an estimated cost of $40,000. to $50,000.00. Mr. Tompkins told the <br />Council that Preliminary Plans were complete and before the final <br />plans are complete, Engineering would like to have authorization from <br />the Council to proceed. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Folmar to table <br />action on this matter, and called for a Special Council Meeting <br />Monday, March 16, 1987, 5:15 P. M. to consider this matter. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Hoog, and carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 87 -026 authorizing and directing the City Manager, <br />Michael E. Malone, to execute a prop rata contract with Lloyd <br />Cunningham upon the completion of the project providing for refund of <br />pro rata charges collected under subparagraph (1) of paragraph B of <br />Section IX of Ordinance 1315 of the City of Paris was presented. A <br />motion was made by Councilman Bufford, seconded by Councilman Hoog �... <br />for approval of the Resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
