0 <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 15th day <br />of April 19_L7, by and between R & K Energy _ Inc. <br />(the official <br />Rt 6, Box 210, Mt. Pleasant, TX 75455, acting by and through <br />name, form of orginizati n, an address of Contractor'- if <br />hereinafter called the "Contractor" and <br />partnership, name of partners) <br />City of Paris, Pari.s,. Texas, acting by-and .through its Mayor <br />Billy Joe Burnett hereinafter called "owner ". <br />WITNESSETH THAT: <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the invitation of the Owner, extended through an <br />officially published "Invitation to Bid ", the Contractor did in <br />accordance therewith , on the 4th day of March , 19 8 7, <br />file with the Owner a proposal containing an offer which was invited <br />by said notice; and <br />WHEREAS, the Owner has heretofore determined that said offer was the <br />lowest and best submitted: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED:.- <br />First: That the Contractor shall comply in every way with the <br />requirements of those certain spec`ificattons entitled: <br />Wastewater.Sludge Disposal System Force Main Project <br />(Official title of the specifications and a statement of <br />the limits to which they apply) <br />Second: That in consideration of the faithful compliance with the <br />terms and conditions of this Agreement the Owner shall pay to the <br />Contractor at the times and in the manner provided in said <br />specification the total sum of <br />Sixty -five Thousand, Four Hundred, Ninety -four and 74/100 <br />(the basic contract price both in words an figures) <br />Dollars (.$65,494.74) <br />which sum is subject, however, to increase or decrease in such <br />proportion as the quantities named in said proposal are so changed,all <br />as in said specifications and proposal provided. <br />Agreement - 1 <br />EXHIBIT "A'I <br />
