5 9, <br />RESOLUTION NO. 87,018 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did <br />in Resolution No. 87 -001 authorize advertisement for bids <br />for furnishing plant, labor, materials and equipment and <br />performing all work required for painting sections of the <br />Primary 17/35 Runway at the City of Paris Cox Field Airport, <br />Paris, Texas, being part of Cox Field TAC Project No. 866 -24 <br />which bids were received until. 10:00 o'clock A.M., <br />Wednesday, February 4, 1987; and, <br />WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction was made by <br />Airport Markings of America, Inc., 2442 W. Dallas, Grand <br />Prairie, Texas and it should be awarded the bid for such <br />construction; and, <br />WHEREAS, the form of contract for such construction <br />project is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form <br />should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, that the Bid of Airport Markings of America, Inc., <br />for the above described airport improvement project, in the <br />amount of $9,465.00, is hereby accepted and let conditioned <br />upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and specifica- <br />tions included in the bid documents; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of <br />Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, be, and he is hereby authorized <br />r-- and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the <br />contract for said airport improvement project, upon the <br />terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A <br />attached hereto, with Airport Markings of America, Inc. <br />Passed and adopted this 9th day of February, 1987. <br />: <br />grp _ <br />Vf� <br />ATTEST: <br />Mattie Cunningham, Cit er <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />T.
