' . qa� <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS <br />April 9, 1984 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met in regular session, Monday, <br />$ April 9,-1984 7:00 P. M. Mayor Graham called the meeting to order with <br />the following Councilmen present: Donald G. Wilson, Jeff Hoog, Gene <br />McWaters, Jr., George Fisher, A. L. Ware, and Nathan Bell. Also present <br />were City Manager David H. Doty, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City <br />Clerk, H. C. Greene. <br />Prayer was offered by Rev. Bob Hanson. <br />Mayor Graham asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of <br />previous meetings and there being none, the minutes were approved as <br />presented. <br />Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open to consider the annexation <br />and proper zoning on annexation of 149 acre tract of land located on <br />both sides of Highway 82 between east city limits and the west city <br />limits of Reno. No one appeared before the Council concerning the <br />annexation, and the public hearing was declared closed. <br />Mayor Graham announced the public hearing was called in order to full <br />fill the legal requirements of annexation legislation, and no action was <br />necessary. <br />Mr. J. P. Shull, District Manager, Texas Power & Light Company appeared <br />before the Council and discussed a proposed rate increase. <br />Mr. Roy Sparks, Local Manager of Lone Star Gas Company appeared before <br />the Council and made a formal request for rate increase. <br />Mr. Larry W. Keith, Associate Director, Environmental Engineering and <br />Resource Department, Anheuser Busch Companies appeared before the <br />Council discussed alternative wastewater pretreatment programs for the <br />Merico Paris Division of Campbell Taggart. Mr. Keith requested ap- <br />proval of the City Council to enter into a serious negotation between <br />the City and Anheuser Busch to assess technical aspects and economics <br />of the alternative for modification of City's Waste water treatment/ <br />plant and ultimately to develop an agreement outlining capital cost <br />sharing and surcharge structure for this modification. <br />The City Staff was instruct to work with the Anheuser Busch Company on <br />the recommendations of Mr. Keith. <br />Mayor Graham called for the reading of Ordinances previously authorized <br />by the City Council. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 84 -025 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP <br />OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2 (SF -2) <br />i <br />i <br />
