City Manager Sokoll requested authorization to advertise for bids for a pickup <br />truck for the Sanitation Department to take the place of the vehicle destroyed <br />in the tornado. Considerable discussion was had concerning the number of pickups <br />in the City service. A motion was made by Councilman Graham, seconded by Council- <br />man McGee to adjourn the meeting. The motion showed 3 ayes for and 3 against, and <br />the motion failed. <br />After more discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Williams authorizing the <br />advertisment of bids for a pickup truck for the Sanitation Department. A motion <br />was made by Councilman McGee, seconded by Councilman Kohls to adjourn the meeting. <br />The motion carried 4 ayes, 2 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the meeting adjourned. <br />BILLY J. M. Mayor Burnett called the meeting to order with the <br />following Councilmen present: W. C. Francis, Walter F. Williams, Larry McGee. <br />Absent was Councilmen Joe Graham, Ken Kohls, and Travis Wortham. <br />Mayor Burnett called for the canvass of returns on the City. Election held on <br />April 10, 1982, and returns were presented and opened by the Mayor for each ward. <br />4F3.t <br />Resolution No. 2164 declaring the results of the Election and declaring George <br />Fisher, Jr. the elected Councilman Ward One, Walter F. Williams elected Council- <br />man Ward Two, Gene McWaters, Jr. elected Councilman Ward Three, and Donald G. <br />Wilson elected Councilman Ward Six was presented. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Williams, seconded by Councilman McGee for adoption of the Resolution. The motion <br />carried 4 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
