City Manager Sokoll requested authorization to advertise for bids for a pickup truck for the Sanitation Department to take the place of the vehicle destroyed in the tornado. Considerable discussion was had concerning the number of pickups in the City service. A motion was made by Councilman Graham, seconded by Council- man McGee to adjourn the meeting. The motion showed 3 ayes for and 3 against, and the motion failed. After more discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Williams authorizing the advertisment of bids for a pickup truck for the Sanitation Department. A motion was made by Councilman McGee, seconded by Councilman Kohls to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried 4 ayes, 2 nays. Mayor Burnett declared the meeting adjourned. BILLY J. Mayor Burnett called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen present: W. C. Francis, Walter F. Williams, Larry McGee. Absent was Councilmen Joe Graham, Ken Kohls, and Travis Wortham. Mayor Burnett called for the canvass of returns on the City. Election held on April 10, 1982, and returns were presented and opened by the Mayor for each ward. 4F3.t Resolution No. 2164 declaring the results of the Election and declaring George Fisher, Jr. the elected Councilman Ward One, Walter F. Williams elected Council- man Ward Two, Gene McWaters, Jr. elected Councilman Ward Three, and Donald G. Wilson elected Councilman Ward Six was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman McGee for adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays.
