T <br />Mayor Burnett called for the reading of a previously authorized Ordinance amend- <br />ing the burning Ordinance. <br />ORDINANCE NO 2610 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SUB- <br />PARAGRAPH (e) OF SECTION 12 -12 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR THE DELETION OF <br />AN EXCEPTION OF THE PROVISION AGAINST BURNING OUT OF DOORS WITHING THE CITY <br />OF PARIS; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORD- <br />INANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE OF MARCH 1, 1982. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Graham, seconded by Councilman <br />McGee for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll requested authorization of the Council for the staff to <br />purchase parts on an emergency basis due to the delivery date of this equipment <br />and the importance of getting it as soon as possible for a raw water pump at Pat <br />Mayse Lake. A motion was made by Councilman Graham seconded by Councilman Williams <br />approving the request of the City Manager. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll made the following recommendations concerning funds received <br />for the lease of land for oil lease purposes as follows: <br />(1) Gibbons and Crook mineral leases in the amount of $29,877.90 be <br />used to help finance work on the filters at the water treatment plant; <br />(2) Cox Field mineral leases in the amount of $61,718.80 be place in a <br />special fund to be used to construct a new parking ramp and underground <br />fuel storage facilities at Cox Field when TAC or FAA grant funds become <br />available; <br />(3) Sanitary landfill mineral leases in the amount of $7,353.88 be <br />earmarked for the purchase of a new landfill site. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Graham, seconded by Councilman Kohls approving <br />the recommendations of the City Manager. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Engineer Rick Conner appeared before the Council and made a report and <br />recommendation on the Infiltration /Inflow Sewer Project and presented the <br />attached map of City and other areas concerned with the project. City Engineer <br />Conner advised the Council that the Department of Water Resources in Austin <br />representing the EPA had recommended strongly the lines on the East Side of the <br />City outside the City Limits not be eliminated from the project as had been <br />previously ordered by the City Council. A poll of the Council made by Mayor <br />Burnett showed a majority of the Council in favor of the lines on the East side <br />of the City outside the City Limits to remain in the project. <br />
