Mayor Graham announced that Louis etson of the Lamar County <br />Appraisal District was present to l uss plans for future collection <br />of property tax. Mr. Ricketson e ned the steps that needed to <br />be taken in order that the Distric` ould assess and collect taxes. <br />Mayor Graham voiced his dissatisfaction with the service the City is <br />receiving from the Appraisal District at this time, and discussion <br />was held concerning the problems which would occur due to delay in <br />receiving this years tax roll. P <br />Mayor Graham requested the City Attorney to investigate the City's <br />options concerning the Central Appraising System and advise the <br />Council on the matter. <br />Mr. Ricketson agreed with the Mayor's suggestion and the Mayor <br />appointed Councilman Wilson, Councilman McGee and himself as a <br />Committee to work with the Paris Independent School District to <br />study the matter. <br />Resolution No. 2197 and Resolution No. 2198 awarding contracts for <br />the Buttermilk Creek Drainage Project Phase III in the amount of 4 <br />$42,063.70 and Phase IV in the amount of $45,020.00 to B & B Equipment <br />Company was presented. A motion wAs made by Council McWaters, <br />seconded by Councilman McGee for approval of the Resolution. The <br />motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />i <br />
