W* ; <br />Mayor Graham announced that a Councilman had requested consideration <br />of lifting the Building Permit Moratorium in Buttermilk Creek Drainage <br />Area. During discussion, City Attorney Haynes recommended that the <br />Moratorium not be lifted until the size of the structures had been <br />increased in the drainage area. After further discussion, a motion <br />was made by Councilman McWaters, seconded by Councilman Fisher to <br />r-- authorize the lifting of the Moratorium on building permits when <br />structures are torn out and drainage increased and certification <br />made by the City Engineer. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />ANNEX ORDINANCE NO. 2650 <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LIMITS <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN <br />TERRITORY CONSISTING OF ACRES, MORE OR LESS, WHICH IS LESS THAN <br />TEN PER CENT (10 %) OF THE TERRITORY INCLUDED WITHIN ITS PRESENT <br />CITY LIMITS, WHICH SAID TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE <br />PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND <br />PROVIDING ZONING FOR SAID TERRITORY. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by <br />Councilman Wilson for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried <br />6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2651 <br />AN ORDINANCE REVISING THE FUEL ADJUSTMENT CLAUSE OF TEXAS POWER AND <br />LIGHT COMPANY IN THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE FOR SUCH FUEL ADJUSTMENT CLAUSE RATE SCHEDULE, AND PROVIDING <br />CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH SUCH FUEL ADJUSTMENT CLAUSE RATE SCHEDULE MAY <br />BE CHANGED, MODIFIED, AMENDED OR WITHDRAWN. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded <br />by Councilman Williams for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll requested authorization to advertise for bids <br />for the following items: <br />A. Tailgate Gravel Spreader for the Street Department. <br />B. Hydraulic Valve Wrench for the Water Department. <br />C. 1500 Feet of Three (3) Inch Hose for the Fire Department. <br />D. Air Bag Rescue System for the Fire Department. <br />E. Floor Covering for Central Fire Station. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Councilman <br />Williams approving the City Manager's request. The motion carried <br />6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Sokoll presented a request of H. M. and Betty L. <br />Hindman to close West Austin Street between 33rd S. W. and 31st S.W. <br />After discussion, no action was taken by the Council. <br />Resolution No. 2205 appointing A. W. Clem IV to the Library Board <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Wilson, seconded by <br />Councilman McWaters for adoption of the Resolution. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
