4 '. F <br />Mayor Malone called for a report from the City Manager on the proposals <br />received at 10:00 A. M., May 29, 1979 on the accounting firms for auditing <br />purposes. The City Manager advised that he and Director of Finance Greene <br />had received the proposals and after deliberations recommended that the <br />firm of McClanahan & Holmes be retained to perform the audit for the fiscal <br />,__year ending June 30, 1979. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded <br />by Councilman Farris approving the recommendation of the City Manager. Motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Councilman Burnett entered the council chambers and assumed his seat at the <br />council table. <br />City Manager SokolI pregented the 1979 -80 Proposed Budget and requested a <br />public hearing as required by tity Charter. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Williams seconded by Councilman;Burnett to call for a public hearing 7:00 P. P1. <br />June 18, 1979 on the proposed budget.. Motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays: <br />Mayor Malone called for a committee report from the ambulance service.. Councilman <br />Fisher reported that the Committee had met along with the County Judge, Brady <br />Fisher and also attending the committee meeting were officials from McCuistion <br />Regional Medical Center. Councilman Fisher stated that among other recoimenda- <br />tions that the committee had recommended an audit of the amblance service <br />periodically and also had recommended the rate schedule.- Co'Uhcilman.Fisher <br />requested that Fire Chief, Steve Burgin address the Council on some of the <br />proposals. Chief Burgin appeared before the Council and discussed recommended <br />contract provisions along with rate schedules. After discussion, a motion was <br />made by Councilman Farris, seconded by Councilman Kyle authorizing the advertisement <br />of bids for ambulance service including the recommended rate schedules.
