<br />RESOLUTION NO. 1921
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its
<br />regular meeting on the 11th day of December, 1978, approve the
<br />advertisement for bids for furnishing all plant, labor, material and
<br />equipment, and performing all work required for the construction of
<br />approximately 1, 260 tons of Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete _Pavement,
<br />3, 500 cubic yards of Crushed Stone Base, 17, 000 square yards of
<br />6 -Inch Lime Treated Subgrade, 4,300 cubic yards of Unclassified
<br />Roadway Excavation, 2,534 linear feet of Reinforced Concrete
<br />Storm Sewer, 11 Storm Drainage Inlets, 2,615 linear feet of 8-Inch
<br />Water.. Line, and other miscellaneous improvements, which- bids
<br />were received until 10:00 o'clock A. M., Wednesday, February 7,
<br />1979; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction project was
<br />made by David Buster, and he should be awarded the contract for
<br />such project; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the form of contract to complete said project is _
<br />attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE, _
<br />BE' IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />PARIS, That the bid of David Buster for the construction of street
<br />improvements on Blake Road, from Fitzhugh Avenue (9th Street, N. E. )
<br />approximately 3500 feet Easterly to 20th Street, N. E. , and water
<br />mains therein, in the amount of $400,860.02, is bereby accepted and
<br />let, conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and
<br />specifications included in the bid documents; and,
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Manager of the
<br />City of Paris, Robert W. Sokoll, be, and he is hereby authorized and
<br />directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris, the contract for
<br />the above described work, upon the terms and conditions and in the
<br />form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, -with David Buster.
<br />Passed and adopted this 12th day of February,. 1979.

<br />Resolution No. 1922 calling for an election of three City Councilman from wards
<br />4, 5, and 7 and designating polling placing and election personnel was presented.=
<br />A motion was made by Coucilman Farris, seconded by Councilman Burnett to amend
<br />the reading of the Resolution authorizing personnel at each polling place in -
<br />numbers not to exceed a total of 6 persons. Motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays on
<br />the amendment. A motion was made by Councilman Farris, seconded-by Councilman
<br />Burnett for adoption of the Resolution as mended. Motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays.
