44y <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 12, 1979 <br />The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held <br />Monday, March 12, 1979.at. 7 00 P.ti. Mayor Malone called the meeting to <br />order with the following Councilmen present: B.J. Burnett,-Jim Farris, <br />George Fisher, Jr.; David Philley, Halter F. Williams and Raymond k1unsch. <br />Also present were City Manager Robert W. Sokoll, City Attorney, T.K. <br />Haynes and Acting City Clerk Joe N. McCollum. <br />Prayer v+ras offered by Rev. N.E. Nash of the Ebenezer -A.M.E..Church, <br />Mayor Malone asked-if there were any correction to the minutes of <br />previous meetings furnished to the Council members. There being none, <br />the minutes were approved. <br />Mayor Malone announced the first order of business would be consideration <br />of recommendations made by the Planninq and Zoning Commission. <br />A replat of Lot 2, Block I, Morningside Estates No. 3 was presented. <br />It was noted that the reason for the replat was to remove a 7.5' <br />utility easement from the south property line of Lot 2. The easement <br />was not needed by any utility and approval had been recommended by the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission. A motion for approval was made by <br />Councilman Wunsch, seconded by Councilman Burnett and carried 7 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br />City Attorney Hanes presented the following zoning petitions: <br />Audubon Development for Site Plan approval on part of Lot 8, City <br />Block 287 and Paris Independent School District for a change in zoning <br />from SF -2 to PLI on Lot 6, Block C, Sand Hill Estates and Lot 14 and <br />part of Lot 15, City Block 294. <br />Mayor Malone referred the petitions to the Planning and Zoning Co- <br />mission for their study and recommendation and called for a public <br />hearing at the April 9, 1979 Council meeting. <br />Mayor Malone called for the reading of an Ordinance previously autho- <br />rized for the installation of a stop sign. Ordinance Mo. 2437 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS PROVIDING THAT THE <br />ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE <br />TRAFFIC - CONTROL DEVICE MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF <br />
