City Manager Sweatt advisedAhe Council of the appointment of Wayne Griffin as ad- <br />91inist,ative assistant - traffic safety coordinator !t,ith the City of Paris, and re- <br />quested confirmation by the City Council. A motion was made by Councilman Swaim and <br />seconded by Councilman Williams confirming the appointment of Mr. Griffin. The <br />motion carried: 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Brunette announced that the.Council would go into executive session. City <br />Attorney Haynes.reviewed. action relating to the acquisition of right -of -way for <br />the planned improvement of'24th Street S. E. from the railroad south to Jefferson <br />Road and advised the need for authority to instigate eminent domain proceedings <br />for one tract of land owned by the Bray estate. Mayor Brunette declared the execu- <br />tive session closed and tike regular meeting open. <br />Resolution No. 1783, authorizing City Attorney T. K. Haynes to.proceed to condemn <br />a tract of land being Lot 8,.City Block 166, for right -of -way in accordance with <br />the established policies of the City, was presented. A motion was made by Council- <br />man Williams and seconded by Councilman Swaim for the adoption of the resolution. <br />The motion carried: 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
