96 <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />April 13, 1977 <br />A special meeting of the City Council was held on April 13, 1977 at 7:00 P. M. <br />r4ayor James M. Brunette called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen <br />present: George Fisher, Jr., Freddie Swaim, and Walter Williams. Also present were <br />City Manager K. R. Sweatt, City Attorney T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk H. C. Greene. <br />Mayor Brunette announced that the purpose of the special meeting as called for by <br />the City Charter was to canvass the returns of the election held on April 2, 19771, <br />for three Councilmen - one each from Ward 4, Ward 5, and Ward 7. Mayor Brunette <br />called for the returns of the election. <br />Returns prepared by the judges of the three wards were presented. <br />Resolution No. 1802, declaring and determining that Michael E. Malone - Ward 4,. <br />David Philley - Ward 5, and Raymond S. Wunsch - Ward 7, as the persons receiving the <br />highest number of votes cast and declaring their election, was presented. A motion <br />was made by Councilman Swaim and seconded by Councilman Williams for the adoption of <br />-- the resolution. The motion carried: 4 ayes, 0 nays. <br />�q <br />
