Sept. 1. 1995 <br />Resolution No. 2002 -022, referring a request from Lamar County, the adjacent <br />property owner, to the Planning and Zoning Commission for the abandonment <br />of a portion of a forty (40) foot street known as W. Price Street in City Block 41 <br />between N. Main Street (U.S. Hwy 27 1) and 1St Street NW beginning at the west <br />boundary line of N. Main Street going west to the east boundary line of 1 s' Street <br />NW.; setting public hearings; making other findings and provisions related to <br />the subject; and providing an effective date, was presented. <br />City Attorney Schenk advised the City Council that at this time, the city does <br />not have a formal request from Lamar County for abandonment of this street, <br />and suggested this resolution be passed conditioned upon the City of Paris <br />receiving a letter from Lamar County to this effect. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Carter, <br />approving the resolution conditioned upon the City of Paris receiving a formal <br />request from Lamar County for abandonment of a portion of West Price Street. <br />The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
