963 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2002-004 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, CREATING A NEW ARTICLE XII TO CHAPTER 2 OF <br />THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS, ENTITLED <br />"PAYMENT OF FEES AND OTHER COSTS ", AND OTHER CHARGES TO <br />THE CITY OF PARIS BY CASH, CHECKS, OR CREDIT CARDS, WHERE <br />APPROPRIATE; IMPOSING A 5% CONVENIENCE FEE ON PAYMENT BY <br />CREDIT CARDS; AUTHORIZING THE COLLECTION OF SERVICE <br />CHARGES; AUTHORIZING CONTRACTS FOR COLLECTION AND <br />SEIZURE OF OUTDATED OR UNAUTHORIZED CREDIT CARDS AND <br />THE COLLECTION OF CHARGES FOR THE RETURN OF SAID CARDS; <br />PROVIDING FOR DEPOSIT OF FEES SO COLLECTED; AUTHORIZING <br />THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO ENTER INTO ALL AGREEMENTS <br />NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THIS ORDINANCE; MAKING OTHER <br />FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; PROVIDING <br />A REPEALER; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE, WAS PRESENTED. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Gray for <br />adoption of the ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, seconded by Councilman <br />Gray to bring from the table a resolution declaring as surplus property a 1968 <br />Mack Fire Engine Model CG611F, Serial 1063, and two old hydraulic rescue <br />tools; approving the sale of said fire engine to Texas A &M Fire Academy for <br />consideration that the academy allow ten (10) Paris recruits to attend basic <br />training at one -half (1/2) the regular price. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2002 -004, declaring as surplus property a 1968 Mack Fire <br />Engine Model CG611F, Serial 1063, and two old hydraulic rescue tools; <br />approving the sale of said fire engine to Texas A &M Fire Academy for <br />consideration that the academy allow ten (10) Paris recruits to attend basic <br />training at one -half (%2) the regular price. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Gray for approval of the resolution. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />McCarthy and carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
