<br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING
<br />THE EXECUTION OF A PURCHASE ORDER FOR ONE (1)
<br />AMBULANCE THROUGH THE TEXAS LOCAL GOVERNMENT
<br />PURCHASING COOPERATIVE; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
<br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND PROVIDING AN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005 -012
<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A PURCHASE-
<br />ORDER FOR ONE (1) AMBULANCE THROUGH THE TEXAS LOCAL
<br />GOVERNMENT PURCHASING COOPERATIVE; MAKING OTHER
<br />FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
<br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 10th day of
<br />February, 2003, in Resolution No. 2003 -047, elect to be a Cooperative Member in the Texas
<br />Local Government Purchasing Cooperative, a program created by local governments in accordance
<br />with and pursuant to the Interlocal Cooperation Act ( "Act "), Chapter 791, Texas Government
<br />Code; and,
<br />WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the City of Paris purchase ail ambulance
<br />replacement for Medic 6 through said Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative; and,
<br />WHEREAS, it is further' deemed appropriate that the City Manager be authorized to
<br />execute a purchase order for one (1`) 2005 Ford F350 Type 1 Ambulance for a total purchase price
<br />of $90,181.00, which represents the cost of the ambulance, which is $96,744.00, plus the cost of
<br />the Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative fee, which is $800.00, less the value of the
<br />City's trade -in, which is $7,363.00; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all.
<br />things approved.
<br />Section 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute,
<br />on behalf of the City of Paris, a purchase order through the Texas Local Government Purchasing
<br />Cooperative for one (1) 2005 Ford F350 Type 1 Ambulance for a total purchase price of
<br />$90,181.00, which represents the cost of the ambulance, which is $96,744.00, plus the cost of the
<br />Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative fee, which is $800.00, less the value of the
<br />City's trade -in, which is $7,363.00.
<br />Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
